Scope Of Services
Our office is proud to offer a full range of
orthodontic treatment options that addresses all orthodontic treatment
needs.
-
Traditional braces for
children, adolescents and adults. Different styles of braces: Ceramic
(clear), Silver, and Gold
brackets. Braces are much nicer today than
they used to be. Modern orthodontic braces (brackets) are very
comfortable to wear. We have elastic ties available in many bright
and exciting colors which are changed at every appointment. Most patients have fun
picking which colors they will get at each appointment.
a
-
Interceptive first phase
treatment for growth guidance and jaw development.
a
-
Removable and functional
appliances: Sometimes the upper and lower jaws
are not lined up. Functional appliances can be utilized to
achieve better positioning of the upper and lower jaws, improving the
facial profile and improving the patient's bite.
a
-
Interceptive expansion
appliances: These easy appliances are used to widen the upper arch
which coordinates one arch to the other, and/or corrects a
crossbite. Top teeth are supposed to be wider than the lower teeth so
if the top is too narrow, the top teeth may bite inside the bottom,
or across from where they are supposed to be. Expansion appliances are
designed to widen the arch.
a
-
Interceptive appliances to help control
harmful habits.
a
-
Limited, short-term
treatment for less severe problems.
a
-
Orthognathic (jaw)
surgery workup, if needed.
a
-
TMJ (pain and
dysfunction of the jaw joint and facial muscles) therapy.
a
-
Invisalign™
a state-of-the-art alternative to braces that is virtually
undetectable to other people. Invisalign™
straightens your teeth, not with brackets and wires, but with a
series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. Visit
the Invisalign web site at www.invisalign.com.
a
-
State of the art
appliances and auxiliaries including low force, high comfort, body
heat activated "super
wires."
Treatment Information
Best time:
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a patient be
seen at age 7. However, most patients are not treated at that time.
Sometimes interceptive orthodontic treatment may be indicated.
Interceptive treatment can help
guard against more severe problems later on, yielding better results in
less time.
Length of treatment:
Treatment time varies depending on the severity of the orthodontic problem.
Routine
appointments:
Once treatment begins, most patients are seen once every four to six weeks.
Most routine orthodontic appointments are of shorter duration (about 10-20 minutes).
